When it comes to travelling, one of the main concerns of the adventurer is to try to be in good terms with his fellow travelers no matter what. Little did they know that when they try to suppress and control their-selves from messing up the more they try to cut off the fun. When you travel alone, you don't have schedules to follow meaning you are always open for any sudden changes, you don't have to try fitting in with people, you don't have the idea of disappointing others when you mess up, you only have yourself. Be who you want to be.
2. You Learn How To Be Independent
You learn how to be alone. You learn not to depend your happiness by the people around you and put your focus on the little things that you've been ignoring when you we're still in your comfort zone.
3. Rediscover Happiness
While you're on your travel, you can take this time to restore yourself, to fix what's broken and to see what to throw away. In other words, you take this time to consider the things you've been through in life. Try to know which one's worth keeping and which one belongs in the thrash. Distinguish and throw away what's been making you unhappy every time you bump into it.
4. Learn How To Appreciate Little Kindness
There are times when you take people for granted even if they do little things for you. Like the guy who let you pass the door before him, that crew from McDonald's who offered you to carry your tray or that one old block-mate who always try to treat you right even if you failed to do such in return. Yes, there are a lot of people you might be taking for granted for but when you travel alone, you might get rid of this rudeness for the only thing you have are the little kindness these strangers can offer you. You'll need most of these little kindness and will teach you how not to take them for granted ever again.
5. Going Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Traveling alone lets you face your insecurities and fear. You could be afraid of talking to strangers and making contact but when you're alone in a foreign country with no one to talk to or to ask for help, you need to be brave enough to survive and connect with the strangers around you. There are people who only settle for what is known. Sometimes you should dare going out of the pavements. Try to explore unknown things. Traveling alone could help you discover hidden talents that you will never find out in the comforts of your couch.
6. Experience Beautiful And Once In A Lifetime Moments
Cherish the little things like the how the sun sets, how people's lives are intertwined in a busy foreign city, how waves dance on a pristine coast, you might not have anyone to share the sights but you have it only for yourself.
7. No Expectations
Oblivion is your greatest neighbor. Life differently.
8. Learn New Things
Some knowledge are not available in your home. Learn cultures. Read a book. Learning never stops, it doesn't stop at your degree. It's continuous. You could learn some new languages or culture. Who knows, it might change your life when you get back.
9. Form New Bonds
One thing that's very rewarding here are the camaraderie you've earned. They might be the missing piece in your life that you've been searching ever since. Friendships are treasures and should never be taken for granted for.
10. Fall In Love
Some people travel alone for soul searching or for trying their luck to find the one. In your travel, you meet a lot of people that might lead you to falling in love. Who knows, maybe the reason why it never worked here is because that one that will actually work is somewhere in a far off region and you just need to head out and find him.Sometimes destiny is such a tricky thing.
